Job Description:The position will be focused on being responsible for all operational aspects of software asset management operations which includes but not limited to managing day to day software operations, requests, inquiries, escalation, maintaining accurate inventory of software licenses, ability to understand software license usage rights across desktop software and server software, conducting proactive internal software license compliance reviews to ensure that Guardian is properly licensed and complaint. In addition, the position will be responsible for the operational tracking of Guardian’s hardware assets (i.e.: user end devices-laptops). The position will report to and take guidance from the IT Asset Management Lead.Qualifications:
Manage the software asset management operations which entails managing the software request tickets and deployment process, software license compliance for all environments (desktop and server).
Utilize Software Asset Management Tool USU License Manager (Aspera) to maintain accuracy of software deployments and facilitate compliance across the organizations software portfolio.
Manage all software asset management supporting tickets/requests related to licensing questions and concerns.
Ensure compliance against Guardian’s IT Asset Management Policy
Responsible for internal pro active license reviews of software and SaaS / perform self-audits
Independently deliver Software License Compliance reviews against Guardian’s third-party software and SaaS providers and present to the IT Asset Management Lead.
Efficiently identify and resolve licensing-related issues for internal team members.
Work closely with subject matter experts, including business stakeholders, system architects, system administrators, project and program managers, and engineers to obtain critical information required for the management assets.
Candidate must possess knowledge in software licensing from companies including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Tibco, McAfee, Adobe, HP, etc.
Directly interfacing with vendors and internal business partners, such as Technology, Sourcing & Contracting, Vendor Management.
Demonstrating strong organizational skills, possess the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and be able to set and manage priorities.
Working collaboratively with other members of the IT Asset Management team to continue to mature the asset management program at Guardian.
