Title and Summary


Manager, Finance Business PartnerOverview
We are seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner with 8-10 years of experience in the payments industry/ related industry. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making for our core products and services in the Asia Pacific region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Analysis & Reporting:
o Provide in-depth financial analysis and reporting on product performance, pricing strategies, and market trends.
o Develop and present financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to senior management.
• Business Partnership:
o Collaborate closely with product management, sales, and operations teams to align financial goals with business strategies.
o Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, offering insights that drive informed decision-making.
• Performance Management:
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations for improving financial performance.
o Apply strategic understanding of business dynamics in regional markets and competitive forces in driving creative responses and formulating mitigating strategies for the product portfolio.
• Project Support:
o Support new product development initiatives by conducting financial feasibility studies and modelling scenarios.
o Assist in the evaluation of investment asks and opportunities
• Process Improvement:
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and reporting systems.
o Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.


Qualifications:
o CA; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CPA)
o 8-10 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within the payments or financial services industry.
o Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling (plus point) and forecasting.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
o Proven track record in financial analysis, strategic planning, and business partnership.
o Proficiency in financial systems; advanced Excel skills are essential.
o Analytical mindset - Have key insights across market opportunities.
o Broad based commercial awareness to manage risk versus return trade-offs.
o Understanding of all the commercial drivers impacting MasterCard’s business in the division (current and emerging product lines, services and programs)
o Strong analytical and proven problem solving skills
o Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment.
Communication & Impact & Influence
o Influences and negotiates with the respective business teams who may have divergent objectives in relation to their respective business P&L. This involves challenging their assumptions to direct and shape their submissions
o Ensures that Finance is closely integrated with, and positively supports the business providing managers at all levels with the necessary information to make good business decisions; works with the management team in the development and implementation of short and medium term strategic and tactical plans and provide the financial input required to that process.
