Job Title : Manager – Engineering Analysis

Purpose of Role: This position is required for managing and leading the engineering analysis team in the journey towards becoming a Global center of excellence for WEIR. The role requires technically and strategically to lead and develop FEA, CFD, DEM and other Virtual test capabilities to optimising and leverage the ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of SMEs and Simulation professionals. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team.
  • Project Oversight: Manage Virtual testing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate Virtual testing efforts with product lifecycle management. Oversee the development and testing of new products and technologies.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement Global CoE strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals. Identify emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation. Manage the intellectual property portfolio, including patents and trademarks.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the Engineering Simulation team. Stay updated with the latest advancements in relevant fields. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:


Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering and relevant domain / field. Specialization in Machine Design, Hydraulics, Product Development, Process level simulation or relative domain is good to have.


Experience: 18+ years in product/technology domain with system-level understanding.


Skills:


  • 10-15 years in engineering simulation, design methodologies, and validation.
  • Skilled in physical testing, virtual testing, and validation methods.
  • Proficient in data analysis, concept design, NPI process, and prototyping.
  • Familiar with international standards (API, ASME Sec VIII).
  • Proven global simulation project management experience, ideally with Agile methodology.
  • Track record of generating IP and driving innovative product solutions.
