Primary Job Functions:
Ensure receipts and deliveries of Finished goods from manufacturing locations (Own/Contract Manufacturing facilities ) to HUB (Distribution Centre) and then plan for its stock transfer to CFAs. Prepare and update dispatch plan in alignment with commercial requirements to meet service levels - OTIF, CFA matching stock and minimum back orders at CFA. Minimize freight cost while still delivering on the above mentioned task. This can be achieved through reduction in faster mode transportation (Rail/Air) or better load planning at HUB. Plan IDT’s (Inter Depot Transfer) across the HUB / CFAs to meet SKU wise forecast and reduce mismatches at CFAs Closely monitors actual despatches vis-à-vis planned dispatches and takes corrective action as per prescribed process. Generates MIS and provide information on finished goods movement and availability to commercial Lead weekly SARM in coordination with internal stake holders – Supply Planners & SRO Lead Monthly Supply Review with commercial to primarily discuss stock status and related activities (lean inventory, Near expiry, MRP increase, Forecast accuracy, SLOB etc.) and action it based on decisions taken Collaborate with different stakeholders in EPO/QA/RA and ensure that queries of commercial colleagues are addressed immediately. In transit stock monitoring and ensuring that it reaches in committed timelines. Escalate exceptions to the transporter. Transport management - Vendor classification (for e.g. strategic vs. transactional), vendor performance measurement and feedback, vendor rewards and recognition, alternate vendor development - RFQ's etc. to ensure uninterrupted supply of assets and logistical services. Preparing Transport agreements, negotiations in line as per Abbott requirements Adhere to Audit requirements in Class A, planning & Transportation and timely respond on any observations Resolve audit queries and prepare CAPA plan for closure against audit observations to ensure statutory and Abbott process compliance. Education & experience:
Knowledge
Domain knowledge such as Indian pharmaceutical market (key competitors, growth, trends etc.), master scheduling, materials planning, capacity planning, vendor scheduling, OTIF parameters, supply chain risks, forecasting, logistics & distribution, methodologies and framework - Total Quality Management, Lean manufacturing and theory of constraints etc. Enterprise technology modules - SAP - MM, PP, ECC Regulatory- pharma regulations, taxation laws, export related requirements Abbott knowledge such as organization structure, key products, SOPs related to procurement, S&OP process etc.
