Demand Planning:
- Develop Demand plan via statistical input, business drivers, operating plan, and other key insights.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, In-market GSC Planning, Regional Supply Chain, Global Supply Chain, BU Finance and Customer Service to refine short-to-medium term inputs for Business Units.
- Drive monthly Brand forecast review meetings with Sales and Marketing to arrive at a consensus demand plan
- Work with commercial colleagues to ensure accurate deployment plan at CFA level to ensure right stock availability at right locations
- Prepare for Monthly S&OP review & Quarterly Executive S&OP review for business units. Publish MOMs and follow up on the action item closure.
- Accountable for forecast accuracy and forecast bias metric. Participate in regional initiatives for forecast error/bias reduction. Adopt best practices from other markets in the region for India.
- Track in house expiries and work with commercial and finance on liquidation of stock to avoid write offs.
- Monitor market returns for each BU and ensure returns are less than the agreed threshold level.
- Provide accurate visibility of market write offs to regional stakeholders.
- Process owner for ZDI for India market.
- Ensure accurate forecast is always maintained in SAP IBP, support in adhoc forecast release in case of urgencies from business.
Supply planning
- Develop an accurate supply plan by working with local plant (Goa team), Above Market Planning (AMP) and external supply team and share the same with commercial colleagues.
- Provide visibility of incoming supplies to commercial colleagues and proactively inform any change in the plan. Scenario simulation for any potential risk in supplies in short term or long term to be discussed with business.
- Share opening inventory details and forecast with procurement, above market planning and supply teams at the start of every month.
- Project manage with regulatory, quality, external site for any product change management activities like site change, API source change, spec change etc. Ensure supply continuity during this phase of the product lifecycle.
- Responsible for on time new product launches in the portfolio by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders.
- Ensure efficacy of master data set up in SAP system for all products sourced.
- Ensure Finished goods inventory for the market is below the agreed threshold. Participate in regional initiatives for inventory reduction and adopt best practices from the region.
- Publish OOS details every month to finance against OP and LE targets.
- Prepare for market (T2) and cluster (T3) KPI review. Support with data driven root cause analysis for KPIs which are not performing as per target.
- Prepare for yearly supply chain agreement with GSC, Above Market planning, Goa team and external supply teams to ensure accurate parameters such as frozen horizon, lead time and TDOS are maintained in the system.
- Liase with global sites for planning of bulk tablet shipments and coordinate with local plant for packaging schedule.
- Support in documentation or test waiver wherever applicable for on time clearance of imported products.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand Planning:
- Contribute directly to the maximization of demand planning metrics (forecast accuracy and attainment) and demonstrate correlation to business performance.
- Drive strategies, methodologies and best practices that ensure excellence in demand planning – including statistical forecasting, predictive analytics, irregular/regular demand projection, scenario planning and revenue/cost projection.
- Own and disseminate a Global Standard Work for Demand Planning with process definition, relevant examples, templates to ensure full transparency of best practice ways of working.
- Ensure full adoption and on-going refinement of Tableau/ SAP BI reporting tools in conjunction with Regional Supply Chain and Business Technology (BT) teams.
- Support S&OP and Executive S&OP for the market.
Supply planning
- Ensure on time in full supplies to meet the market demand plan and reduce revenue shortfall to minimum. Provide accurate visibility of supplies to all stakeholders.
- Participate in strategic supply discussions such as capacity enhancement at existing sites and alternate supplier development.
- Accountable for product life cycle management: new launches, variations and phase out.
