Job Summary:


The position of Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting and Consolidations is a member of the Global Finance organization and is instrumental in supporting our management team, ensuring the timely and accuratedelivery of BMS’s consolidated financial statements. This individual will be a key liaison to the global finance organization and will interact with colleagues from various regions and functions; as well as other members of BMS Controllers/Finance, Informational technology, and Legal/Compliance organizations.


The Manager will have substantial exposure to the pharmaceuticalindustry's accounting and reporting practices. They will be provided with an opportunity to enhance their financial reporting and analysis skills, strengthen verbal and written communication skills, and expand leadership skills in a global environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Execute the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close consolidation processes, working closely with the appropriate stakeholders (local markets, tax, treasury, CFP&A and shared services).


  • Perform analysis on balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows, including preparing reconciliation schedules, flux analysis, and commentary. 


  • Operate key internal controls, including review of key financial reporting inputs, journal entries, and reporting package tie-outs. 


  • Serve as liaison with various corporate, regional and market finance departments to coordinate the timely retrieval of accounting reports and schedules and perform evaluation of same.


  • Manage financial reporting deadlines including adhering to close calendar deadlines.


  • Assist in reviewing earnings releases and related financial information, investor, and analyst materials and 10Q/10K reports.


  • Champion process improvement and automation initiatives within the consolidations and financial reporting department


  • Assisting in special projects, ad-hoc analysis, and other requests from management.


Required:


  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on US GAAP.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Accounting.


  • CA (Chartered Accountant)required


  • Advanced excel including the ability to manipulate large data sets.


  • Pharmaceutical/Life Science/Biotech industry is preferred.


  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.


  • Ability to prioritize and manage workloads and exercise a high degree of adaptability, when working in a complex work environment.


  • Team player and process oriented.


  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.


  • Must be highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented, ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously with the work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with all levels and departments within the company.


  • Working knowledge of SAP and SAP Business Consolidation Systems is preferred.
