The mission in the GEC is to drive the strategic transformation of the engineering function within the Digital Buildings systems & project business to increase our competitiveness & improve our margins through establishing a collaborative working relationship between the Country and our Global Engineering Centre for BMS in India.

What is the role?
Individual Contributor role based in Bangalore (Preferred) and reporting to the Deputy General Manager – Engineering.

An exciting and challenging role for BMS Revit/AutoCAD engineer to join our team.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to
Produce BMS floorplan/layout and schematic drawings using Revit and AutoCAD software, using technical inputs provided by design engineers.

• Spatially coordinate BMS items (such as sensors, valves, control panels etc.) within a federated Revit model.
• Build and maintain a library of Revit objects required for customer specific projects.
• Work in compliance with Schneider Electric and customer developed standards, including CAD standards, naming conventions etc.
• Work in compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP’s).
• Work in BIM common data environments such as BIM360 as well as document management portals such as ASite, Aconex etc.
• Command on communication to interact single-handedly with global customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them to deliverables
• Undertake self-checking and peer reviews of others work to ensure quality, defect free deliverables, on time and with great customer satisfaction.

We do not want to narrow the field; however, we do believe that instrumental to your success in this role will be the following skills

• Proven experience in Revit modelling and AutoCAD (2D) drawing. Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Revit/AutoCAD engineer (with minimum 5 years Revit specific experience) in M&E building services industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation/Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and controls/BMS engineering concepts, including HVAC domain systems and applications like Air Handling Units, Chiller/Boiler Systems, Variable Air Volume Boxes etc.
• Proven ability to spatially coordinate M&E and/or controls/BMS equipment in Revit models, including clash detection and design coordination workshops.
• Experience of Navisworks (particularly around sharing information with non-Revit users and use for clash detection and reviewing).
• Experience of producing electrical containment layout drawings considered an advantage.
• Familiar with the NBS (National BIM Standards) and LoD (Level of Detail) standards.
• Familiarity with standard progress reporting tools and processes will be an added advantage.
• Work experience in global projects and/or in global engineering centers will be considered as an advantage.
• Experience in the management of sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
• Ability to work in remote (offshore) teams situated across multiple time zones.
• Basic MS Office/Adobe PDF skills are necessary.
