Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced professional with a sound understanding of raw materials, metallurgy (compositions), manufacturing processes, and Indian standards (IS) / international standards (EN/ASTM/ANSI etc.). The candidate will be responsible for studying the latest Quality Control Circulars (QCOs) from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and assessing their potential impact on the Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) business.
Key Responsibilities:
•Study and analyze the latest QCOs from BIS and their effects on raw materials, components, and parts of the GIS business.
•Develop action plans to mitigate risks by directly representing the company at various government institutions with technical arguments.
•Conduct inspections, audits, and developments at various supplier locations.
•Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
Mandatory Qualities and Skills:
•Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of QCOs, BIS certification processes, and relevant industry standards.
•Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying trends, and assessing the impact of QCOs.
•Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough in ensuring compliance with standards.
•Communication Skills: Effective in liaising with suppliers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
•Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in identifying issues and developing solutions.
•Project Management: Experience in managing compliance and certification projects.
•Industry Experience: Prior experience in relevant industries such as metallurgy, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
•Adaptability: Flexible and able to adapt to new regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Background in metallurgy, chemical, or mechanical engineering with 8-10 years of experience.
•Critical thinking and quick analysis based on problem situations.
•Growth and service mindset to support colleagues and foster win-win situations.
•Proactive and polite demeanour with the ability to deal with colleagues and stakeholders.
•Fluency in English for business communication.
Additional Requirements:
•Willingness to travel to various supplier locations for inspections, audits, and developments.
This role is crucial for ensuring compliance and mitigating risks associated with QCOs and BIS certification, thereby supporting the smooth operation and growth of our GIS business.
