Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scrum Master with 7+ years of hands-on experience in Agile project management. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating the Agile process, ensuring the team follows best practices, removing impediments, and fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, and possess strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Responsibilities Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Guide the team through backlog refinement, ensuring clear and prioritized user stories. Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and remove obstacles that may hinder team progress. Collaborate with other teams, stakeholders, and management to resolve any dependencies and roadblocks. Coach and Mentor Team Members: Educate team members on Agile principles, practices, and methodologies. Support team members in understanding their roles and responsibilities within the Agile framework. Foster a self-organizing, high-performing team that continually seeks improvement. Promote a Collaborative Environment: Encourage open communication and transparency within the team and across departments. Facilitate conflict resolution and create an environment where different opinions are heard and valued. Track and Monitor Progress: Use Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) to monitor team progress and track key metrics, such as team velocity and burndown charts. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure that projects are on track for successful delivery. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and provide visibility into team progress. Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead sprint retrospectives to identify areas of improvement and implement actionable changes. Encourage a culture of learning, experimentation, and iterative improvement within the team. Adapt Agile Practices: Tailor Agile practices to meet the specific needs of the project and team, while maintaining alignment with the organization’s goals and processes. Introduce hybrid methodologies when needed to suit project requirements. Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues early and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies. Communicate risks and issues to stakeholders in a timely manner, ensuring transparency. Support Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Foster collaboration across different teams to ensure cohesive project delivery. Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile project management role. Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or equivalent certification is preferred. Preferred: Experience working in a BI, data analytics, or software development environment. Background in implementing Agile methodologies within diverse project types and team structures.
