Department
You will be part of Manufacturing Operation-India, Global Supply Chain, Cement who supports Capital and Service Product line for Materials, Warehouse & Logistics. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges. This department works closely with both our internal and external customers to ensure FLSmidth cement equipment’s on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Role
As a maintenance engineer, you'll be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in industrial settings. You'll also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance. Your role is vital to the efficiency, development and progress of manufacturing and processing industries. Working with other professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain a schedule for predictive and corrective maintenance to enhance equipment life and performance.
- Diagnose issues in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with production Engineer and technicians to address immediate concerns and improve processes.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repair logs and equipment performance data.
- Generate maintenance reports to track trends, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Provide training to staff on safe equipment operation and emergency procedures

What you bring
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, maintenance management software, and technical manuals.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, conveyors, welding Machines, Cylindrical Grinding, EOT Cranes and automated systems.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
5-10 years’ experience in Procurement
