About the team:

This position is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the banking project. In this role, you will focus on developing new features, maintaining existing ones, and supporting client requirements as needed. You will also play a key role in architectural enhancements, which involve upgrading and maintaining the core system layers.

What you will be doing:

• Execute test cases manually in Mainframe Applications. Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on mainframe applications. Analyze test results and identify defects or areas for improvement.
• Prepare test summary reports, defect metrics, and other testing-related documentation for project stakeholders. Communicate test progress, issues, and risks to project managers and team members.
• Monitoring the batch and Analyzing batch abends.
• Document defects found during testing and track them to resolution using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Test Rail. Work closely with development teams to reproduce and troubleshoot issues.
• Interact with integration infrastructure and varied systems to perform E2E testing.

What you bring:

We are looking for a Mainframe QA Tester responsible for Testing Mainframe applications. Your primary responsibility will be to create user information solutions by Testing and maintaining mainframe-based components and interfaces, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

• In-depth knowledge of design issues and best practices.
• Solid understanding of MQ Logs, Authorizations and Simulator Tool (Visa and MC).  
• Solid understanding of Requirements.
• Familiar with various design, architectural patterns, and software development process.
• Experience with both external and embedded databases.
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and Regression tests, Smoke and Sanity Test.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with remote teams in effective manner.

Primary Skills Required: Mainframes, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, MQ

Testing Tools: Test Rail, JIRA, Rally, API Tools.
