Mainframe Development Engineer - Assistant Manager

Role Summary & Role Description

Application Software Development Engineer with around 4-7 years of experience who can analyze, design, develop and maintain software in a mainframe environment using PL/1, COBOL, DB2, JCL and CICS.

What you will be responsible for

As Application Software Development Engineer you will

• Analyze, design, estimate, and develop software programs to meet project schedule.
• Maintain and support existing software applications.
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in agile methodology – Scrum, Kanban.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies.
• Take responsibility of the development deliverables.
• Oversee day to day activities of one or more project teams.
• Reviews daily processes and suggests improvements as required.
• To coordinate with all stakeholders in the program – QA/Business/PM teams.
• Works closely with other development teams, project managers, analysts, and deployment and support personnel to support project and department goals.
• Act as key point of contact for all Dev aspects of releases and support.
• High level of proficiency in the required programming language.
