The Legal department is mainly responsible for mitigating risks to the organization from a legal and statutory perspective. We assist business in coming up with policies and guidelines to safeguard the business risks and general corporate matters. We advice, guide and train the business and other functions on their responsibility in terms of statutory compliance and compliance with strict company guidelines including some EU guidelines. Responsibilities also involve working with global stakeholders of the Intellectual Property team and Compliance Investigation team.
Your responsibilities
1. Reviewing and drafting of contract agreements with clients, vendors and partner
2. Be a part of negotiations for settlement, claims and other contractual issues with the client
2. Drive efficiency and implementation of best practices on risk management and opportunity creation.
3. Provide expertise and consulting to project managers in the process of project management.
4. Guide the team of PMs on contractual ways to execute the projects in time, within cost and explore possibilities of additional savings/claims by taking key decisions at appropriate time.
5. Proactively assess risk and have detailed mitigation plan in place. Resolves issues in best manner by developing cordial relationship with all the stake holders.
6. Support the execution team by monitoring the risk register for projects to identify and mitigate contractual risks. .
7. Help in critical documentation and drive the process of variation claims and claims for others costs incurred.
8. Adherence to company's compliance policies within the scope of work
9. Identification & assessment of risks, implementing processes, procedures & mitigatory measures to ensure that the organization is fully prepared to deal with any potential threats and leverage the opportunities
A Legal Counsel with 12-15 years experience, out of which at least 5 years must be in contract review and contract management. Strong communication skills and the ability to convey and stand by your opinion is a must. Should have a collaborative mindset to work with various parts of the organization to find business solutions.
