• 7+ years relevant experience as a database administrator working with SQL 2008 through 2022 environments
• Experience in a large, 24x7 environment
• Experience with multi-terabyte databases
• Hands on Experience with SQL Always On and Active/Active Peer to Peer Transactional Replication
• Experience with SQL Server Log shipping and Database Mirroring Setup and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of database administration tasks such as backups, database recovery, security, etc.
• Worked on Windows OS 2005 through 2019 with relevant OS Tools.
• Participation in scheduled Disaster Recovery exercises as needed (MS SQL Server based)
• Provide root cause analysis for outages when appropriate 
• Work to resolve and alleviate failures, problems, or concerns in a timely manner
• Understand, adhere to and execute adopted ITIL practices for Change, Incident, Problem and Release Management
• Experience in SQL Server Installation and Configuration with troubleshooting of Service start ups is a Must
• Understanding of SQL Server Indexes, Maintenance Tasks, Job Creation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Able to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU,memory,I/O, disk space and other resource contention
• Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs)
• Hands on Experience on SQL Server Cluster installation and Upgrades.
• SQL Server DB Tuning and Scripting Procedures, Functions and Triggers.
• Work on Performance Issues in SQL Server Database and perform necessary MS Recommendations to achieve optimization.
• Good Knowledge on Statistics, Table Optimization and Query Tuning.
• TempDB Resource contention best practices.
• Deep Knowledge and Hands on Experience on SQL Cluster Migration and Always On.
• Automate SQL Alerts and Jobs with Security hardening policies.
• Setup and Troubleshooting of Maintenance Plans, Jobs and their failures.
• Hands on Exp of SQL Server 2019 on Linux OS Setup , config and troubleshooting will be add on advantage.
