Lead Test Automation Engineer

Role Profile

LSEG is embarking on a Finance Transformation programme, delivering our Finance Vision and transforming the way we work to create value and deliver sustainable growth for the business.  The primary objective of the programme is to enable data availability for customer screening checks for critical CRM, Billing and Permissioning systems. The application has features like Automated Financial Crime Data Feed, Consolidate and Stabilise, Build Exception and Error handling mechanisms. The Programme drives efficiencies and maximises benefits for LSEG.

We have an exciting opportunity in the QA team for Test Automation Developer to join this dynamic team within the London Stock Exchange Group, working as part of the Finance Technology team, and supporting LSEG through test automation of the core transactional system.

The role sits within the Corporate Technology Delivery function, which provides technology services to Corporate Functions Teams for LSEG.

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Automating and executing the Test cases of the cloud-based application interfacing with the Snowflake database
• Developing and managing the test scripts and Knowledge/Skills
• Responsibility includes development and implementation of critical test cases with focus on resiliency, scale, and performance.
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test scripts and debugging
• Experience and Skill of interfacing with virtual teams
• Effective interpersonal skills (written and spoken) and strong problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced Agile development and rapid deployment in the Cloud
• Managing backlog, designing, developing, delivering and supporting changes in an Agile methodology.
• Maintaining and optimising the automation scripts through continuous improvement
• Independently working with the development team, business analysts, scrum master and other team members to deliver on a timely basis

Knowledge/Skills

• Hands on experience in writing advanced Python and Selenium scripts, generating validation reports  
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities: SnowSQL
• Worked in Offshore / Onsite Engagements and collaborated across shores
• Work independently and solve problems and willing to do what it takes to get things done
• Should be a team player
• Should be eager to learn new technology and/or functional areas

Experience

• Overall 6+ years of QA experience and minimum 4+ years of end-to-end test automation experience using Python and Selenium
• Experience in Automating test cases for cloud-based windows application interfacing with Snowflake database
• Experienced in writing QA automation tests using Python and Selenium  
• Experience in building and setting up an automation framework for end-to-end testing of application with UI and validating database entries
• Experience in developing scripts for automated reconciliation testing
• Must have experience in documentation, scripting, testing & deployment
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
