- Experian is looking for a Lead Solution Architect in our Technology team.
You will be #LI-hybrid based in Hyderabad and reporting to CTO EMAP Engineering
This is an individual contributor (Non-Managerial) role
The candidate would possess a strong analytical mind, be a technical and creative thinker, have a strong aptitude for problem solving, and have a keen eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, along with the fervent desire to continuously learn about different products and technologies.
- You will be responsible for defining the organizational application architecture vision and playing a pivotal role in planning, shaping, and driving technical processes and strategies to achieve business outcomes.
- Additionally, you will drive innovation and lead major transformation projects within the application domain.
- You will also suggest and drive forward infrastructure and tooling improvements that enable the business to confidently operate at pace.
- You will develop end-to-end architectural solutions for new and existing business requirements, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.
- Evaluate, design, and recommend scalable solutions for various credit bureau services.
- Define architectural blueprints and ensure their alignment with business and IT strategies.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and infrastructure teams, to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
- You will collaborate with business teams across multiple countries to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- You will act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Ensuring alignment with global enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring compliance with architectural standards, frameworks, and governance.
- Standardise technology stacks across regions, driving efficiency and interoperability.
- Assist in creating a regional technology roadmap that supports the organisation’s growth and innovation objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, providing recommendations on their applicability to the business.
- Lead pilot initiatives for innovative solutions, ensuring their scalability and alignment with enterprise goals.
- Promote the adoption of modern technologies, such as cloud platforms, APIs, and AI-driven solutions, to optimize business outcomes.
- Ensure all solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements across different geographies, such as GDPR, CCPA, or local credit bureau regulations.
- Collaborate with the InfoSec team to integrate security best practices into solution designs.
- Design solutions that cater to multi-country operations, addressing challenges such as data residency, localization, and regional compliance.
- Optimize solutions for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency in a global environment.
- Support business expansion into new markets by ensuring the scalability of existing systems.
- Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. What you’ll need to bring to the party

- 15+ years of experience as Solution Architect.
- Experience with software engineering practices and design such as: coding standards, Agile (scrum) methodologies and test-driven development.
- Experience designing solutions for scalability and reliability; knowledge in Microservices and SaaS architecture, Web Services/SOA Connectivity.
- Proficient in OOAD and software technologies including Java (Client-side, Server-side, Security APIs, Web development, Spring/MVC/Spring Boot, JSP/Servlets, OSGi, Hibernate), SaaS (Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka), Workflow, BPM platforms, Business rules frameworks, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Rest/JSON, SOAP/XML, Oracle, Single Sign-On (SSO), HTML5, Performance Tuning/Profiling, Testing frameworks.
- Experience in negotiations, presentation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS / Azure or Google Cloud to design scalable and secure solutions.
- Expertise in databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices to protect sensitive financial data.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes) for efficient development and deployment
- Regulatory Compliance - Knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) to ensure compliance.
- Ability to align technology solutions with business goals and strategies.
- Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks. Anticipate challenges, implement preventive measures, and adapt as needed.
- Ability to make effective decisions, address issues promptly, evaluate options, and make informed choices.
- Understanding of customer needs and translating them into technical requirements.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, technologies and market dynamics. Flexibility in handling unexpected challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be an active listener, understand client requirements, and convey information clearly.
