Leads quality related activities for the API and Master Data Management (MDM) team and provides accountability through:
Functional requirement reviews and signoff
Impact analysis documentation
Solution architecture options and cost analysis preparation
Technical design reviews and signoff
Unit test plan reviews and signoff
Acts as the primary SME for the API and MDM platforms along with interfaces to external applications and provides input to:
Design work for API and MDM development activities and deliverables
Production support analysis for both Platform Management and Solution Delivery for critical and / or complex issues
Works well with application team and provide insight on functional and technical design activities when they are required to interface with API and MDM Solution Delivery team. Help drive high quality functional specifications and proper requirements
Is responsible for the proof of concepts (POC) and technical roadmap activities and assuring that any new development being done to the platform aligns with the roadmap
Works closely with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team to assure the API and MDM management team is correctly aligned with EA direction
Creates and presents Solution Architecture proposals with multiple implementation options to IT Governance and Technology Strategy (GTS) team when incoming requirements propose a:
Change in System Architecture
Change in API based integrations to external/internal and cloud-based applications
Stays up to date on API management, Gateway management, APIGEE and API based integrations best practices and new technology developments
Executes Proof of Concepts (POC), documents the outcome and drives implementation and standardization of these where applicable within the application integration and MDM team
Looks for cost saving / quality improvement opportunities
Provides multiple solutions to a business problem, performs required analysis of each option, calls out pros and cons of each option and suggest a best option
Presents the potential solutions / enhancements to both technical and nontechnical audiences
