Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Software Engineer II to join our Technical Computing Facility team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our technical computing software applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications within the Technical Computing Facility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
- Review code and provide feedback to team members to ensure best practices in software development.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and document technical issues and bugs.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept through delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with technical computing concepts and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile/Scrum.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
