You will be a Lead Software Engineer - Build Systems, working closely with our Software Applications and Research associates, and other functions to ensure seamless operations across both cloud and desktop software development.

This position is part of the Software Department and will be in Bengaluru, India   

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Take ownership of the CI/CD pipeline, focusing on improving and maintaining TeamCity-based build systems to ensure high reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance build automation scripts, ensuring streamlined workflows and consistent build environments across projects.
• Identify and resolve build-related issues proactively, implementing robust solutions for immediate mitigation and long-term stability, while maintaining clear communication and escalation processes for build failures.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to evaluate, integrate, and manage tools that optimize the build and release processes, improving the overall developer experience.
• Drive improvements in the CI/CD ecosystem by adopting and promoting best practices, tools, and methodologies, such as infrastructure as code, configuration management, and automated testing.
• We are seeking a highly motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively manage their time to work across time zones with our North American R&D team while maintaining the highest standards in collaboration and communication.

The essential requirements of the job include:  

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent
• 7+ years (minimum) experience handling Build, Release and Deployment of software on Windows/Linux environments and web/desktop application software development experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with TeamCity, including the development and management of pipelines, and a strong understanding of version control systems like Git.
• Windows Batch/Powershell experience or bash scripting experience is essential
• .NET build environment knowledge. Basic understanding of Windows Installer
• Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing on-perm/cloud infrastructure development and deployment of configuration management processes and tools, and creation and maintenance of monitoring and alert systems.
• Strong collaboration skills with a history of working effectively in cross-functional team

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

• Experience with Mass Spectrometer and/or other analytical instruments is preferred
