MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBThe Testing Lead (Manual and Automation)’s main responsibility includes all items of Testing engineers, but also support Manager on all testing activities to responsible for overseeing both manual and automation testing activities. This includes supervising a team of testers, engaging with stakeholders, and collaborating with testing managers to foster and mature the testing programs.MAIN DUTIES:The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership for this role:
- Validate testing materials and create testing environments.
- Provide testing estimates and perform readiness checks on testing builds.
- Maintain testing machines and ensure testers have access to all necessary tools.
- Communicate with clients and coordinate with teams to resolve defects.
- Train and evaluate the performance of testers.
- Create and manage test cases, execution logs, and QA instructions.
- Monitor and follow up on testing progress to ensure compliance with instructions, timelines, and quality standards.
- Manage defect tracking and resolution, identifying recurrent issues and patterns.
- Prepare and deliver testing deliverables and status reports to stakeholders.
- Provide sign-offs upon test completion and feedback to testers.
- Execute existing automation testing projects and propose improvements.
- Develop automation solutions for manual testing projects to enhance efficiency.
- Research and implement the latest testing technologies and tools.
- Summarize client issues and maintain a knowledge base for project lifecycle.
- Adhere to project-specific quality standards and client preferences.
REQUIREMENTSEducation Level:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
Experience:
- Proficiency in Windows, Mac, Linux operating systems, and network/IIS configuration.
- Expertise in localization, internationalization, and functional testing tools.
- Strong understanding of testing workflows, theories, and technologies.
- Experience in automation testing or software development.
- Proficiency in testing tools/systems: SQL Server, Oracle, Test Link, JIRA, Confluence, VPN, BOX, BeyondCompare, InCtrl, Winscp, LDAP server, VMware, etc.
- Skilled in SilkTest and the ability to build automation testing frameworks.
- Experience with tools like QTP, LoadRunner, Selenium.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Curiosity and creativity to innovate and question existing processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead diverse, virtual teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot software or network problems.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to deliver tasks on time, communicating any deviations to stakeholders.
