Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer with 7+ years of experience in Java and Kotlin programming languages. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing robust applications, guiding a talented team of developers, and driving innovation within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a versatile skill set that covers back-end services and mobile applications.


Overall Responsibilities:


Application Development:


  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using both Java and Kotlin.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Back-End Development:


  • Utilize Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or Java EE to create robust back-end services.
  • Implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between client-side applications and server-side services.

Mobile Development:


  • Develop Android applications using Kotlin, leveraging the Android SDK and associated libraries.
  • Employ Jetpack components and other Android libraries to ensure efficient app development and enhanced user experience.

Technical Skills:


  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java and Kotlin with a strong understanding of their ecosystems and frameworks.


  • Back-End Development: Deep knowledge of Java web frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Java EE) and expertise in RESTful API design.


  • Mobile Development: Experience in Android application development using Kotlin with proficiency in Android SDK and Jetpack components.


  • Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools, and agile development methodologies.


Experience:


  • At least 7-9 years of experience in Java development with a solid foundation in Kotlin.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Experience delivering Java-based solutions for large enterprises, demonstrating an understanding of scalability and performance.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, providing guidance and support on best practices and coding standards.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and application architectures.
  • Develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and systems with a focus on quality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to development processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, integrating new technologies that align with business goals.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in Java development (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 11 Developer) are highly desirable.
