TITLE: BA Manager


REPORTING TO: Program Manager


WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore, India


The Role:  The position shall manage the group of Business Analysts/Functional Analysts/Product owners and ensuring that project meets organizational goals. Here are some key responsibilities.


  1. Team Leadership and Management:
    • Leading and mentoring a team of business analysts.
    • Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback.
    • Facilitating professional development and training opportunities.
  2. Project Oversight:
    • Ensuring that business analysis activities align with project goals and timelines.
    • Coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Managing resource allocation and workload distribution among business analysts.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Acting as a liaison between business analysts and other departments.
    • Facilitating communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
    • Gathering and prioritizing business requirements from stakeholders.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Developing and maintaining best practices and standards for business analysis.
    • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  5. Support Analysis Activities:
    • Working closely with the Product Owner/Business Analyst to understand the business objectives and the requirements of the proposed solution.
    • Analyzing and decomposing complex requirements.
    • Providing cross-functional support to other departments as required and help with troubleshooting of production issues to help with quicker resolution.
  6. Quality Assurance:
    • Reviewing and approving business analysis deliverables.
    • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of requirements documentation.
    • Conducting risk assessments and mitigation planning.

REQUIRED PROFILE:


Type and duration of previous experience:


  • 12+ years in an IT environment preferably in an industrial or process-driven environment
  • At least 3-4 years’ experience in managing projects, including resource allocation and timeline management.
  • Good business understanding to facilitate discussions from top managers to end-users.

Specific skills required:


  • Strong and proven background in Information Technology.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience in writing Functional Specification Documents
  • Experience in creating Business process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
  • Capacity to conceptualize creative solutions, document and sell solutions to all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, define cause and effect, map dependencies in the process
  • Organized, detail-oriented, analytical, curious, with demonstrated troubleshooting and investigation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask with organization and manage time effectively.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage (internal or external) client expectations.
  • Contribute to process mapping in a range of functional dependencies, including operations, purchasing, inventory, distribution, equipment, data management, quality systems and facilities
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight, in a complex global environment.
  • Prior experience in product testing industry and web applications is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Fluent in English and the working country language.
  • Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex international environment.
  • Effective negotiation skills to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
  • Experience in Agile (Scrum) methodologies would be a plus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.

TRAVEL: Ready to travel (10 – 20%)
