Job Title:Lead Analyst - Costing
Summary:The incumbent of this position will play a key role in optimizing cost management processes, influencing key business decisions, and driving our global success as part of MBS. Responsible for developing and maintaining robust standard cost models , conducting detailed analysis of actual costs and driving variance analysis initiatives to optimize financial performance.
Should play a key role to delivering consistent quality inputs to stakeholders across Business, Commercial, and Operations.
Responsible for analysis of various key drivers related to operational efficiency. Ensure timely and accurate flow of reporting to control functions. Maintain close working relationship and support to Sector Operations Finance Leaders
Responsibilities Include:Tasks and responsibilities of the position:
- Standard Cost Management: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard cost models to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost calculations across diverse manufacturing operations.
- Perform adequate testing and report & analyze results during Actual Costing Implementation project
- Actual Cost Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of actual costs, investigating discrepancies and variances to provide actionable insights for cost optimization strategies.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough variance analysis, highlighting key drivers and collaborating with stakeholders to implement corrective actions where needed.
- Query Resolution & Discrepancy Management: Manage and resolve cost-related queries, variances between Standard & Actual and other discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Multi-Plant Coordination: Coordinate with teams across multiple plants to gather data, harmonize cost accounting practices, and streamline reporting processes.
- Collaboration & Engagement: Work closely with business, commercial, and product managers, providing valuable cost insights and fostering collaborative decision-making

Qualifications:The following are required for the role
- Qualified Cost Accountant with a robust background and a minimum of 8-12 years of extensive experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, and standard cost management within diverse manufacturing environments.
- Proven expertise in driving actual costing methodologies and spearheading cost optimization strategies.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP systems with a track record of effectively leveraging SAP modules for comprehensive cost analysis, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional skills in tools for complex data analysis, financial modeling, and generating insightful reports to drive decision-making at executive levels.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adept at effectively conveying complex financial concepts to stakeholders across various functions.
- Strong capability in mentorship, demonstrated by successfully guiding and developing junior staff to enhance team performance and professional growth.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in TABLEAU & PowerBI with be a plus
