Role Profile

LSEG is looking for a Junior Salesforce DevOps Engineer to partner with our delivery teams to facilitate the deployment of change through our pipelines in accordance with our development and deployment approach.


Joining a growing DevOps Center for Excellence, the team is also responsible for supporting deployments, upgrading packages, and maintaining and overall view of the utilisation of our environment landscape and this role will play a key part in ensuring that the needs of a lively change portfolio are continuously met.


The role will work alongside the Release Manager, other DevOps Engineers, Developers, Architects, Data Teams, Support Teams, and Tester Engineers to ensure that changes to our environments are delivered using the appropriate mechanisms while adhering to our quality standards.

Experience/Skills Profile
  • 4+ years demonstrated ability with the Salesforce platform and 2+ years’ experience in Salesforce DevOps & Release Management.
  • Demonstrable experience in change and release management within a Salesforce environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including administration, configuration, and change management best practices.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce development approaches and how the ecosystem of tools support this.
  • Hands on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using products such as Copado.
  • Experience operating within both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience of IT architecture and infrastructure.
  • Excels at engaging with partners at various organisational levels, using your interpersonal skills to represent our team as a trusted partner.
Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Knowledge / experience of the financial services industry.
  • Experience with other SaaS platforms, such as ServiceNow, Dell Boomi, and Salesforce Managed Packages.
  • Good understanding and track record of operating with a DevOps mindset, bringing teams together to collaborate to deliver.
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Partner with Salesforce Development Team(s), both internal and external, to guide on the best way to build and deliver changes, while assisting with the resolution of deployment errors.
  • Engage with teams to continually assess and improve the available training, documentation, quality standards, and tool configurations to ensure that the needs of the teams and the business are being met.
  • Deliver improvements from the DevOps team backlog aimed at improving delivery capability, platform stability, and reduction of technical debt.
  • Provide guidance on release readiness, ensuring changes submitted have met quality criteria prior to deployment.
  • Produce and contribute to effective documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures, Knowledge Articles, and Technotes that can be understood by all levels of staff.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by engaging with our partners and the wider community to identify industry trends, interesting new tools and techniques, and automation opportunities that can be applied to our ways of working.
  • Support and participate in the change and release processes for route to live, safely facilitating the delivery of change to our production environment.
  • Review and advise on output from quality gates, such as testing output, static code analysis results, and automated testing packs.
