Job Description
As a Junior Legal Counsel your role is to provide expert legal advice and service to the global business, ensuring legal compliance, limiting risk exposure and contributing to the development of the business through managing the legal processes in a broad range of matters.
This will be achieved by having exceptional communication skills, being detail orientated, and process driven.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Reviewing, negotiating and finalising commercial contracts, terms & conditions, non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents, such as agreements with our clients and airlines, and drafting any necessary policies and procedures;
- Responding to any incoming enquiries to our shared Legal mailbox and contract management system, across the global business;
- Supporting the Legal team on company secretarial matters across the global business;
- Advising on data privacy matters, reviewing data processing agreements and privacy policies;
- Managing litigation matters, including reporting on litigation matters to the senior management team;
- Supporting on any employment matters as required by the business;
- Liaising with the wider business and our Bids and Compliance teams as required.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOU
- 0-2 years of post-qualification experience (previous in-house experience preferred)
- Qualified to render legal advice on Indian laws, with a valid practice permit and Bar registration.
- Relevant experience in company secretarial and commercial law is desirable
- Contract drafting and negotiation experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- An ability to work independently and to collaborate with team members, including other attorneys, sales staff, administrative staff and upper management
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Excellent communicator to all organisation seniority levels
- Ability to work through flexible timings (India / UK / US – time zones)
- A creative, problem-solving mindset, with demonstrated ability to turn ideas into products or actions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Fluency in another language is desirable
