Introduction to role

We are looking for an experienced Jira Cloud Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing our Jira Cloud instance to ensure that it aligns with our organization’s needs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of Jira Cloud features, and the ability to manage complex configurations to streamline workflows and enhance team collaboration.


Accountabilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain the Jira Premium Cloud environment


  • Create and configure projects, workflows, issue types, and schemes to meet business requirements


  • Manage global permissions, project permissions, and access control to ensure secure and efficient usage


  • Customize fields, screen schemes, and issue screens to enhance user experience


  • Design, create, and optimize workflows and automation rules to ensure smooth issue tracking and project management


  • Create custom workflows that reflect business processes, optimizing team productivity


  • Configure and maintain boards (Scrum/Kanban) and backlogs for project management teams


  • Configure plans in Advanced Roadmaps across multiple projects in the same instance


  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and minimize human errors


  • Customize Jira Cloud through plugins and apps, managing installations and configurations as necessary


  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and filters for various stakeholders to track project progress, KPIs, and other metrics


  • Provide insights based on Jira data to help teams improve their workflow and performance


  • Work closely with important stakeholders and other teams to understand their requirements and make necessary adjustments to the Jira environment


  • Stay current with Jira Cloud updates, new features, and functionality


  • Document system configurations, processes, and workflows for internal reference and knowledge sharing


  • Provide training and support for team members to ensure proper use of Jira Cloud and associated tools


  • Provide technical support to users for Jira-related issues, including permissions, workflows, and system configurations


  • Resolve escalated issues promptly, collaborating with the development or IT team when necessary


Essential Skills/Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Jira Premium /Atlassian Administrator


  • JQL (Jira Query Language)


  • Jira Software (Cloud)


  • Jira Service Management


  • Confluence


  • Advanced Roadmaps configuration


  • Automation for JIRA


  • Tempo Timesheets


  • JXL Sheets


Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Python/Groovy scripting


  • Experience in tools like Snaplogic, Github


  • Experience in handling SQL database
