Who We Are
Roche Information Solutions (RIS) provides integrated digital solutions to deliver on the promise of affordable, high quality, and accessible healthcare. RIS is accountable for the development and delivery of digital solutions, common Diagnostics architecture and data management. Digitalization in healthcare is of increasing importance to deliver customer and patient value, and shape healthcare.
We expect all our engineers to be hands-on in development across all experience levels. You should be a hands-on full-stack engineer demonstrating a deep understanding of front-end or back-end development (preferably both).
The ideal candidate will demonstrate :
> Exceptional hands-on skills in one of Java, Kotlin (or another JVM language) or TypeScript
> Working knowledge of Java and TypeScript
> In-depth understanding of Spring Boot and Angular
> Hands-on knowledge of at least 1 RDBMS and 1 no-SQL/ document database
> Test driven development in both front-end and backend development
> Working knowledge of at least 1 continuous integration system like Jenkins, TeamCity, Github Actions.
In addition to the above you should have:
> Lived through implementing, supporting and iterating-on at least 1 enterprise system for at least 5 years.
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills
> Experience hiring, mentoring and growing a team
Knowledge of healthcare software (EPIC, Cerner Millennium, OpenEMR) and open standards like HL7 and FHIR will be an added advantage. Domain expertise in oncology and general practice management will be highly appreciated.
