Amazon is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to fill an IT Logistics Coordinator position. This role provides support for IT Offices throughout the region. The successful IT Logistics Coordinator should have basic organizational and team orientated philosophy, and problem-solving skills. In addition, you will need a proven ability to operate in high pressure situations, successfully handle multiple competing priorities and possess a high level of discipline while displaying a high degree of flexibility and professionalism. Commitment to deadlines. Ability to develop clear, concise documentation. Experience in procurement, inventory and asset management of IT equipment as well as IT lifecycle. Superior technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills and experience and the ability to deal effectively with people at different levels and in different situations. Ability to come to the best solution by capturing the big picture instead of focusing only on the minor details/issues which only affect us/clients in a short run. Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work effectively without supervision.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop efficient processes and metrics for monitoring and reporting logistics vendor performance, including risk identification and mitigation.
- Track and report all payables and receivables for PAN India shipping sites.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings; present recommendations to internal business partners.
- Guide team members in resolving customer escalations and queries, provide leadership feedback, and make data-driven decisions.
- Escalate variances in data to relevant owners and follow through on resolutions, constantly seeking to improve team performance.
- Conduct data analysis to close process gaps and enhance efficiency in current procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant policies to ensure technically accurate solutions for the team.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure efficient team operations.
- Document standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Communicate with leadership to prevent logistics interruptions and address risks proactively.
Excelling in this role requires a blend of supply chain management experience, strong analytical skills, and deep understanding of logistics and distribution. Additionally, relevant industry expertise, regulatory knowledge, and exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities are crucial.
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience
- Experience with SQL
