Are you an IT professional looking to make a significant impact within a global leader in medical technology? At Smith+Nephew, we are rapidly growing our ambitious program to provide Global Commercial and Supply Chain with new systems and processes.
The IT systems analyst is responsible for gathering requirements, writing test scripts & execution, business analysis, and documentation for design, deploying, and supporting systems and web & mobile application support solutions that enable this strategic program. The position requires solid experience in deploying solutions to the sales force and supply chain as well as exposure to the logistics processes in large multi-nationals.
This position is for supporting the program rollout in the EMEA or ANZ region.
What will you be doing?
- Perform Level 3 support for the LRC systems, specifically in European or Australian time zones.
- Interpret customer needs into detailed system requirements.
- Develop system specifications for developers and vendors to deliver new or modified functionalities.
- Build required system documentation for architecture, data flows, and system processes.
- Liaise with other IT staff to deliver functionality throughout the software lifecycle.
- Support the EMEA user base by facilitating meetings related to process or technical issues with the systems in scope.
- Write and implement test scripts to validate system or business requirements.
- Write and perform queries on data for system reporting.
What will you need to be successful?
- Should have a min. of a bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience in IT.
- Should have a validated 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst for systems and web & mobile applications in designing and supporting mobile solutions for the salesforce or supply chain, including field inventory.
- Should have experience with requirements gathering, test script writing & execution, and documentation.
- Training/certification in ITIL, Agile, and project management is preferred.
- Experience with application support (web & mobile app).
- Should have experience with SAP and other ERPs.
- Should have work experience with SOX regulations & GxP.
- Should have an exposure to Agile to delivery framework. Experience with Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Should be comfortable working in ANZ or European working hours.
- Experience in logistics and order management is a plus.
- Experience in working with or deploying SaaS platforms.
- Agile delivery and experience working with cloud-based technologies and methodologies.
- Experience with data ETL processes and database query languages such as SQL.
- Experience with Grafana administration, setup, and data connections preferred.
- Prior experience in life sciences or a medical device company is helpful.
- Good interpersonal skills, exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to a diverse set of audiences.
- Ability to operate optimally in a global, multi-cultural environment and drive harmonization and standardization.
