What you will be doing
This position would be part of CORE product development team to work on:
- Design, document, and review application architecture
- Write and review application framework code and design patterns
- Guide application security and adherence to FIS policy
- Advise on techniques for code reusability and organization
- Suggest JavaScript frameworks and extensions to meet requirements
- Design for automated testing
- Responsible for all aspects of software interface design including audience and task analysis, market analysis, scenario building, storyboarding, prototyping, and defining interface specifications, guidelines, and standards.
- Translate research findings and user requirements into effective designs.
- Engage subject matter experts to define design parameters and constraints.
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure user-centered design process is incorporated into FIS development lifecycle.
- Willingness to do team management if needed.
- Collaborate between multiple geographies and teams.
- Suggest technical solutions for complex technical & domain problems.
- Represent the team on global forums.
What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience
- 15+ years of hands-on experience on Java with knowledge of Garbage Collector, JMS, Event Based programming, Collections, Java Streams, Dependency Injection Framework (Google juice).
- Experience on Kafka or other message bus and profiling of Java applications
- Angular JS experience is nice to have
- Working knowledge on application Servers (Tomcat)
- Strong experience in REST Web Services
- Good knowledge in Transaction Management – ACID properties
- Working knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins, Docker is required.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environment and proven knowledge of scripting languages
- Working experience in Micro-Services will be added advantage
- Experience in No-SQL database would be added advantage (Preferably CouchBase / Mongo DB)
- Sound knowledge of Design Patterns
- Good grasp on system architecture & design.
- NoSQL experience is nice to have.
- Understanding of responsive web design best practises
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and information organization capabilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand complex concepts and communicate these simply to technical and non-technical audiences
Skills
- Familiar with scripting languages likes Groovy / Python.
- Knowledge of Kafka
- Agile – SCRUM or XP or TDD methodology preferred.
- Exposure to CI / CD
- Microservices experience is required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

- Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
- Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation
- Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements

- Willing to travel occasionally (no more than 10%)
