Role Description
- The IT Application Owner (ITAO) is accountable for the Application Management of portfolio of applications. The ITAO has to ensure that the application(s) are enhanced and maintained in accordance to the Bank’s IT Security Risk and Compliance requirements. The Technology Roadmap within DB and the Business plans.
- The ITAO should work with relevant stakeholders of the application and ensure that candidate effectively identifies and manages risks, issues, compliance gaps in line with DB IT risk and compliance policies and also the road map of the business stakeholders.
- Service levels need to be evolved and met based on business needs.
- The ITAO need to proactively escalate with relevant stake holders to ensure that there is no slippage in meeting IT Risk, compliance and audit goals for the application, portfolio of applications.
- This role expects the person to have some experience in Project Management.
- The ITAO is also expected to take part in the Annual budget planning exercise with respect to their application along with relevant stakeholders if necessary.

Your key responsibilities
- You are responsible for COBOL applications of the domain Enterprise Sales Services.
- You accompany software development projects with a focus on system stability and the successful transfer to production as well as constantly updated application documentation.
- You ensure structural availability, stability and performance of the applications on production and test environments.
- You establish processes to ensure the lifecycle management of the respective applications.
- You ensure the application’s compliance with Deutsche Bank IT policies (i.e. security monitoring, roadmap compliance, access management-SoD, etc) including availability of all necessary application/service knowledge and documentation.
- You facilitate Disaster Recovery activities by reviewing DR plans and coordinating the execution of DR exercise for the application.
- You organize the 3rd level application support of the domain in collaboration with our external vendors and define and establish a long term sourcing strategy.
- If risks or problems arise you know with whom to find an appropriate solution.
Your skills and experience
- Experience in COBOL and database is a must and other open source skills is good to have.
- Experience with tooling across the Software development Lifecycle/DevOps: Jira, HP ALM, Confluence, ServiceNow, Software Development Lifecycle etc.)
- Experience in application governance.
- Strong ability to manage unexpected events; control and deal with them quickly and efficiently. When confronted with a problem, you will need to collect information, analyze situation, point out solutions and apply them to solve perfectly in reasonable time.
- Pro-active team player with very good communication and excellent English language skills for interacting with stakeholders, German language skills are a big plus.
- Experience with working together with Agile/SCRUM teams and their methods and tooling.
- Experience in GCP or other Cloud techologies is good to have.
