• Role - The FP&A ISC analyst reports to the Global FP&A ISC Manager and works closely with the ISC and Commercial Navigators Global Team, creating an impact by providing high value adding analysis on ISC profit center movements to the ISC and Commercial organization
• Scope - Supports the ISC and Commercial Navigator in generating insights, particularly in ISC Profit center to explain the major movements and follow-on actions to fix the under/(over) recovery respective function like Product costing COE/Accounting controller on cost allocation etc

Business Insights

• VMC Insights - Provide business insights to management team on various cost movement in ISC Profit center impacting the BU results.
• Database Management - Collection and record of the relevant historical data for the analysis purpose, which might impact the financials of the corporate entity.
• Budget & Forecast – Prepare Budget and QRF for the assigned SCOA as well as support with data and insight to other stakeholder in completing overall Budget and QRF process.
• Liaising - Liaise with the BU Head / Regions / Function teams to satisfy their information needs as well as act as a link between management and controllers.

Reporting and Analysis “Trend”

• KPI (Key Performance Indicator) - Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances, secondly analyze the trends of KPIs, especially relating to financial metrics
• Ad-hoc business performance reporting- Support management team and the Heads of Region / Function / BU with data-driven analysis including support for ad-hoc requests.
• Balance Score Card / Dashboard - Implement a business intelligence tool, dashboard reports, financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives.

Continuous improvement:

• Improvement & Standardization - Proactively seeks opportunities to improve and standardize data reports to gain efficiency.
• Automation & Efficiency - Eliminates, simplifies, standardizes, and automates outputs in a structured and consistent manner.

• 10-12 years’ experience as analyst or as controller in a business environment and/or functional area.
• You are ambitious and see this function as part of your development to become an all-round Finance professional in AkzoNobel.
• You are curious, eager to learn and always searching for improvement opportunities (process wise)
• You have affinity for numbers and systems, and have strong analytical skills combined with a critical, but constructive attitude.
• Experience in building automated reports and models is a must, excellent financial and analytical skills.
• Strong HFM, ERP, BI and other data analytics software systems experience (including advance excel to build automated models via different tools like macro, power pivot, data consolidation and data analysis).
• Strong analytic skills and the ability to analyze, organize, summarize, and articulate complex financial information for decision making.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
• Able to prioritize and work with multiple supervisors / stakeholders.
• Strong ‘can-do’ mentality and ‘drive’ to accomplish tasks in an environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Self-starter, hands on mentality and team player.
