Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled IS Specialist (Data Management Lead) to join our team who will have the opportunity to champion our GFS Strategy - Global Finance Services Division.


The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India


 What you will do


Job Roles and Responsibilities


Business Skills


  • Lead business and technical meetings to support data management initiatives and projects for master and transactional data
  • Provide technical and functional thought leadership to manage MDM incidents and enhancements
  • Excellent project management and documentation skills, able to report out status and project progress at executive levels
  • Provide any testing support for functional testing and critical UATs (user acceptance)
     
  • Support resource planning, backlog prioritization, vendor/supplier management
     
  • Provide leadership for data governance and data management projects 
     
  • Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners.
     
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
     
  • Should be able to support hiring process by conducting technical and behavioural interviews
  • Lead monthly calls with stakeholders and drive plan to ensure action to address feedback and action items
     
  • Should have knowledge of SOX controls to be able to support IT controls and compliance audits
     
  • Should be able to provide valuable insights and support for ensuring MDM platform maturity
     

Technical Skills



Snowflake and Snowpark:
 


  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions using Snowflake.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowpark for developing data processing pipelines and tasks.
     

Python and SQL:
 


  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
     
  • Ability to write complex queries and scripts to automate data quality processes.
     
  • Alation Data Governance (Nice to Have):
     
  • Familiarity with Alation data cataloging tool for metadata management and data governance.
     
  • Experience using Alation for data discovery, documentation, and collaboration.
     

Collaboration Tools:
 


  • Experience using collaboration tools like Jira or similar for task tracking and project management.
     

Database & Architecture Skills:
 


  • Solid understanding of relational DB and Cluster based data lake warehouse concepts and experience working with various databases.
     
  • Working knowledge within AWS stack – S3, Glue, Lambda, Glue etc.
     

Source systems:
 


  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and how financial business processes within ERP
     

Data Quality:
 


  • Working knowledge of data quality platforms like Collibra, BigEye, Informatica IDQ
     
  • Strong understanding of data quality dimensions and framework to build a comprehensive DQ solution.

What you will have 


  • Ideal candidate should have 10 years of relevant data management & data governance experience.
  • Experience with multi domain MDM implementation and maintenance. People manager for at least 3-4 yrs, leading a time size of 3-10
     
  • Exposure to cloud data engineering concepts and a good understanding of data migration process within a data lake like Snowflake
     
  • Understand the integration and REST API call deployments and can lead and provide art of possible solutions and approaches
  • Experience as a technical lead, should be able to report up to senior management and lead the technical team
  • Must have experience in waterfall and agile SDLC development process/methodology      
     
  • Working knowledge of ticket management tools like service now    
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Supervises others in advising a range of clients across a myriad of products, technologies, services and solutions in a relevant technology domain.

• Effectively consults with and conveys technology concepts, business impacts and other advice to senior client levels.
• Trains others in developing technology business, channel management and client coaching.
• Leverages formal certifications in mastery of multiple areas of technology in demonstrating credibility for client consulting.
Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Level Expert:
• Consults to others on the technical design of high-impact, multi-technology complex applications.
• Contributes to the establishment and implementation of best practices for application design.
• Leads in evaluating and selecting emerging application design tools and techniques.
• Mentors juniors to create multiple application designs on multiple technology platforms.
• Directs the development of technical standards and platforms for application design.
• Provides application architecture consulting and educational support to associates and business line areas
