Essentials Skills
Build, maintain, and operate the global Schindler IoT Device Management solution, leveraging microservices architecture and Java expertise.
Prepare, test, and enhance update and rollout procedures for new software deployments using Bash scripting in Linux environments.
Create technical documentation and conduct training sessions to share knowledge globally, utilizing Java and Python skills.
Plan, develop, and test automated processes to optimize system operations, focusing on microservices architecture and efficiency.
Diagnose software, hardware, and system failures with expertise in Linux and Bash.
Contribute to platform and product improvements through Java, Python, and microservices.
Provide 2nd-level technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues, applying Java, Linux, and Bash skills.
Collect and document product feature requests, collaborating with teams to implement enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree-education in computer or engineering sciences, or equivalent qualification.
Experience in a previous technical support/development role is a must.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a support organization or software development with technical support responsibilities.
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, batch scripting).
Expertise in logging and troubleshooting complex systems with proven problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
Experience with software development processes, tools, and deployment methods (GIT, Jenkins, BitBucket, etc.).
Knowledge of REST APIs and experience utilizing them to automate tasks.
Understanding of Edge Devices software architecture based on ARM/Linux and LXC Containers.
Experience in web development (e.g., Angular JS) and object-oriented programming is a plus.
Proficiency in Linux environments with expertise in Bash scripting for deployment, automation, and troubleshooting.
Solid grasp of microservices architecture, critical for system design and maintenance.
Proficient in Java with hands-on experience in building, deploying, and troubleshooting applications.
Experience with Agile methodologies (KANBAN or SCRUM) preferred.
Exposure to Software AG’s Cumulocity IoT platform is a plus.
Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus.
Nice to Have
Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation and instructions. ·
Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and work on high priority tasks. ·
Solid command of written and verbal English
