International Tax – Global VAT Regulations & Compliance Requirements Associate - 2

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our Global Indirect Tax Compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing VAT returns and other statistical reporting. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in accounting, finance, data engineering & science, computer science or economics who are proficient in Excel and eager to develop their career in tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• VAT Return Preparation: Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and timely for various jurisdictions.
• Statistical Reporting: Compile and analyze data for statistical reporting requirements.
• Compliance Review: Assist in conducting compliance reviews to ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations.
• Data Management: Maintain and update tax-related data in internal systems.
• Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on compliance matters.
• Support Senior Staff: Assist senior team members with research, analysis, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in working with data, data analysis, data reporting, or accounting & Finance.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team player with a people-oriented approach
