Intermediate Business Analyst

Asset Servicing is responsible for the accurate and timely processing a range of different corporate event types across multiple markets. The department interfaces directly with the local market entities including depositary, counterparts and regulators as well as other Citi lines of business, internal and external clients. The Citi Asset Servicing department is a varied, fast paced, challenging & enjoyable place to work which has something for everyone. The Asset Servicing Business Analyst is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews all Corporate Action/Proxy events and ensures detailed understanding and processing requirements

  
  

• Liaise with all units and departments relating and impacting clients on Corporate Action and Proxy items

  
  

• Researches and resolves all discrepancies within department standards

  
  

• Gathers requirements from Processing Teams

  
  

• Reviews and updates all processes and procedures timely and accurately

  
  

• Identifies and reports any gaps/system enhancement

  
  

• Participates in all testing and successful implementations

  
  

• Escalates issues to management, participates in cross-training activities and all other job duties as assigned

  
  
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years relevant experience
• Basic to intermediate level experience in a related role
• In-depth knowledge of securities processing, combined with a solid understanding of banking industry standards and practices
• Communicates with tact and diplomacy in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information
• Deals with most problems independently
• Has some latitude to resolve complex issues related to the analysis of hedge fund activities

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
