Job Description:


Applies the principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software that provide business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites. Provides systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery of technical solutions is on time and within budget. Researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies. Provides knowledge and support for applications’ development, integration, and maintenance. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Analyzes requirements, tests, and integrates application components. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented. May focus on web/internet applications specifically, using a variety of languages and platforms. Defines application complexity drivers, estimates development efforts, creates milestones and/or timelines, and tracks progress towards completion.
Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. This expertise is typically acquired through a combination of university education and experience within a field. May have responsibility for supervising others in the capacity of a “player coach” but primary focus is individual expertise. Particularly at higher levels, sophisticated subject matter expertise is a requirement for success.
Applies working knowledge and experience in own job discipline. Continues to broaden capabilities and understanding of the company, processes and customers. Solves problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment, and precedents. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Performs a range of assignments with a moderate level of guidance and direction.


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and gather requirements for new implementations and change requests
  • Project Estimation
  • Detailed Technical specification and mapping specification in coordination with cross technology team
  • Design & Develop reports using BOBJ reporting tool.
  • Understand the data model used for the reports to build appropriate SQL needed for the report design.
  • Develops testing strategies for efficient and error free testing
  • Develop reports with best practices in mind.
  • Collaborating with business analysts and business partners.
  • Post go-live support
  • Involves in training the teams members on technical and functional aspects

Required Skill Set


* 5 to 7 years of experience in SAP Business Objects, BO Reports design & development, and implementation.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Experience in SAP BW / SAP BI / SAP HANA. 
* Strong understanding in Building / designing BW solutions using BW 7.3 and above and BW on HANA or HANA solutions including HANA modelling, HANA studio. 
* Must be worked in creating variables, customer exit and DSO/ADSO/CUBE/Multi-provider/Composite Provider design and modeling
* Understanding of Integration of BO with BW or other reporting tools (Specifically SAP Lumira  & Power BI & BOBJ & SAC ) and hands-on experience with different reporting tools
*Experience in Reporting with hands-on knowledge on Universe creation, Web Intelligence administration, Desktop Intelligence, troubleshooting and optimization of SAP Business Objects Suite.
*Experience in BO admin, scheduling reports, handling publications and providing access to users and monitoring and modifying BO services.
*Hands-on experience on SQL complex queries.
*Understanding of Database, table views packages.
* Good Understanding of ABAP, ABAP on HANA coding principles and PL / SQL. 
* Experience in BW performance tuning for optimizing reports, back-end data models. 
* Expertise in SAP and Non SAP extraction and Experience of functional aspects would be a plus. 
* Good to have S4 Hana Certification 
* Experinece on S/4 Public Cloud is an added advantage 
support solutions.
