They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.About this role:The Intermediate App Developer- SAPwill utilize their expertise on SAP to develop, maintain, and trouble-shoot SAP applications and integrated applications. They are responsible for developing applications that are distributed globally and constantly evolving. The candidate will work closely with multiple internal teams and directly with our clients. The candidate must have a working knowledge of Lifecycle management and adhere to strict guidelines when promoting changes to higher environments.Good communication skills and the ability to communicate complex issues in a simple understandable way are a must. This position will attend client and internal meetings to gather and refine customer requirements and have the ability to translate those requirements into configurations customized specifically to that client. The Candidate must have the ability to respond quickly to issues reported and develop plans to resolve those problems. Due to implementations and resources in multiple GEOS, candidate will occasionally be requested to participate in sessions outside of normal working hours.Additional details:Will be working on HELIX migrations and serialization implementations, globally.Migrate changes from development to test to production environmentPerform data updates / migrationsStrong knowledge with Software Development Lifecycle.Participate in daily scrum meetingsPerform independent code reviewsStrong Ability to debug and resolve issues/defectsAuthor technical approach and design documentationCollaborate with the offshore team on design discussions and development itemsMinimum Qualifications:5+ years experience in the following:SAP ECC Release 740Configuration skills in SAP SD, FI, MMLife Cycle management expertiseData Extraction and Experienced Data Load using LSMWStrong SAP ECC trouble-shooting skillsExperience troubleshooting and correcting failed IDoc’sMaster data skills including the creation of Materials, Customers, Output Condition recordsTransactional experience creating Advanced Ship Notifications (ASNs), Purchase/Sales Orders, etc.Ability to learn and troubleshoot multiple integrated systems including middleware and WMS systemsMust be detail-orientedSelf-Motivated LearnerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experienceEmployee Type: PermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
