As Intercompany Center of Excellence (CoE) Operations Senior Accountant within our Intercompany Financial Management team, you’ll be responsible for managing and executing key operational tasks related to intercompany services, product flows, and financial reconciliations. This role ensures the accurate and timely booking of intercompany transactions, effective payment management, and compliance with internal controls. Additionally, the position contributes to tax and external audits, playing a vital role in maintaining the integrity of intercompany financial processes.

Main responsibilities:
- Accurately book intercompany service transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Execute manual bookings for intercompany product flows, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Perform payment management activities, including cash application and clearing of transitory accounts.
- Manage and resolve issues related to missing invoices for intercompany product flows, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
- Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Perform Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) account reconciliations for intercompany transactions, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Support periodic reviews and reconciliations to maintain intercompany accounting accuracy and alignment.
- Collaboration and Problem Resolution:
- Act as a key point of contact for operational issues related to intercompany accounting, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Closing & Reporting and CPI teams to streamline workflows and enhance process efficiencies.
- Provide detailed and accurate documentation to support external audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
- Assist in responding to audit queries and addressing any identified discrepancies.
- Deliver Operational KPIs and Compliance:
- Ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to intercompany operations, including timely processing and settlement of invoices.
- Ensure strict adherence to Opella policies and guidelines.
- Maintain control procedures to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of intercompany transactions.
- Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs.
- Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Opella accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit requirements.
- Consistently achieve and sustain KPI for Intercompany.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Proactively participate in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining intercompany accounting processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements within the intercompany accounting function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and CPI Lead to implement best practices and new tools that improve the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of intercompany financial reporting.
- Pro-actively anticipate operational issues and coach junior accountants.
- Connect with other senior accountants for potential productivity gains with fostering more interactions / shared knowledges / advising between accountants over the world.
- Stakeholders’ Management:
- Sets up close relationships with other stakeholders (A2R, S2V, IFSA, Treasury, Customer Services, Tax teams) when needed to allow smooth activity completion.
- Set up close relationship within the organization to provide improvements in the process & solutions to secure an End to End optimized & efficient process.
About you
- Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on intercompany or operational accounting.
- Strong experience with GRIR reconciliations, cash application, and invoice management.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and intercompany processes.
- Soft and technical skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strong Excel skills: familiarity with automation tools or data analysis platforms is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and resourceful in resolving operational challenges.
- Collaborative team player with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

- Languages:
