The primary purpose of this position is to drive process standardization, automation and improvement, specifically focused on implementation, monitoring and improvement of defined processes within the Control Tower, reporting according to the latest version of Kuehne+Nagel Integrated Logistics (KN IL) organization chart.


Your Role You manage IL organization projects to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance KN's competitiveness. Collaborating with stakeholders, you improve processes by eliminating waste, standardizing practices, and developing automated solutions, balancing customer interaction with internal stakeholder management. Your Responsibilities

The Logistics Process Owner (LPO) plays a crucial role in understanding and implementing Kuehne+Nagel's operational standards and end-to-end (E2E) design. With a strong focus on business process management (BPM) and a continuous improvement mindset, the LPO collaborates closely with various functional units, including Operations, Solution Development, Customer Solutions, Finance, and Logistics Partner Management, to design integrated logistics solutions for clients.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze the current operational landscape within Kuehne+Nagel and apply lessons learned to enhance future customer implementations.
  • Provide insights to Design Leads and Global Process Owners (GPOs) to promote harmonization, automation, and the development of standardized logistics processes.
  • Collaborate with other LPO functions and Operations Managers to contribute to global Control Tower standards.
  • Translate operational designs into clear process documentation, including process flows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and working instructions.
  • Support the definition and implementation of processes for customers and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure productivity aligns with the Head of Control Tower’s objectives and develop strategies to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage travel expense reports in accordance with internal regulations.
  • Assist in the development and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with reporting teams.

Compliance and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain awareness of and comply with Kuehne+Nagel’s Corporate QSHE IMS and Healthcare Guidelines, including relevant customer GxP requirements and local regulatory standards.
  • Execute additional tasks as delegated by management and adhere to all company policies regarding health, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Safeguard personal data and ensure its proper handling in accordance with applicable regulations.

Your Skills and Experiences
  • Minimum 3 years of combined experience in process optimization and logistics.
  • Formal education in Transport and/or Logistics is a plus.
  • Solid experience in road, sea, and air transport.
  • Knowledge of logistics and/or ERP/WMS software systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in logistics business process design.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • Flexible, reliable, and strong problem-solving abilities.
