The Role


As an Instrumentation Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….


  • Design, specify, and install instrumentation systems for mineral processing operations, including sensors, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Develop and implement control strategies to enhance process efficiency and safety.
  • Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control equipment.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead or participate in instrumentation projects, from initial design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
  • Develop and enforce procedures for safe operation and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
  • Work closely with process engineers, electrical engineers, and other technical staff to integrate instrumentation systems with overall process control strategies.
  • Provide technical support and training to operational and maintenance teams on instrumentation systems.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for all instrumentation systems, including system designs, calibration records, and maintenance logs.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and project progress.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Automation Professional) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer in the metal mining or mineral industry.
  • Proficiency in designing, configuring, and maintaining instrumentation systems and control systems (e.g., PLCs, DCS).
  • Experience with various types of sensors, transmitters, and analyzers used in mineral processing.
  • Strong understanding of control theory and process automation.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex system performance data.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing instrumentation projects effectively.
