The Role

As an Instrumentation Designer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc…. 

• We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in using advanced design software and a strong background in instrumentation and control systems for various projects.
• Develop and prepare design documentation including SPI, Instrument Index, layouts, loop diagrams, and JB termination and wiring drawings.
• Create general arrangement (GA) layouts for JB, IO, and field termination panels.
• Design control room layouts and plan cable routing to optimize system efficiency.
• Utilize SP3D, Smart Sketch, E3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.
• Act as the lead designer on projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive design execution.
• Mentor and train junior designers, providing guidance on best practices and design standards.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate instrumentation and control systems into overall project designs.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-12 years of relevant experience in control and instrumentation design.
• Proficient in SP3D, Smart Sketch, E3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SPI, instrument indexing, and layout design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
