Establishes processes that prevent or reduce the likelihood/frequency of failures. Develops reliability plans and preventive maintenance programs to minimize recurring performance issues. Performs Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for reliability issues . Applies Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and/or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to reliability activities Uses reliability modeling and Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) in combination with engineering analysis to design equipment or recommend maintenance methods for improvement.
Supports medium sized clients/customers and makes significant contributions to more complex projects under periodic supervision. General knowledge of the work function and Chevron’s practices.
About the position:
The Instrument and Electrical Reliability Engineering (I&E RE) position in Chevron’s ENGINE Center provides instrumentation and electrical asset support to Chevron’s operational refineries and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facilities. This role works collaboratively across multiple disciplines including Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and Reliability to ensure asset performance across electrical power systems and equipment within Chevron’s complex process facilities. This role forms part of a larger Reliability and Integrity team in Chevron’s ENGINE Center.

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.
