About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Innovation Specialist on the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Innovation team, within the Digital Fulfilment Center (DFC) located in Mumbai, India.
As an Innovation Specialist specializing in simple automation, the individual will work with a diverse cross-functional team whose objective is to deliver solutions that drive business value and productivity for Dow’s Integrated Supply Chain organization. In this role, you will collaborate with data analysts across ISC to build automation via various tools. You will work closely with a global, multi-disciplinary team following with below responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for development of simple automation ideas via robotic process automation for the ISC organization.
- Collaborate with business process teams and technical teams to design simple automation ideas.
- Document technical designs, build, test and support simple automation ideas.
- Accountable to possess in-depth understanding and knowledge of the tools necessary to develop simple automation ideas.
- Leverages internal consulting skills, communication and project methodologies and participates on or leads cross-functional team projects.
- Ensure that technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision.
Qualifications
- University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems.
- Minimum of 3 -6 years of business function or information system knowledge.
Your Skills
- Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in languages like Visual Basic is essential for developing simple automation scripts.
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Tools Expertise: In-depth knowledge of RPA platforms such as UiPath and Power Automate.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify automation opportunities and optimize processes.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the automation process.
- AI and Machine Learning: Understanding how to integrate AI and machine learning with RPA to enhance automation capabilities.
- Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and database management to handle data-related tasks in automation.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and explain technical details clearly.
- Competencies: Interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, teamwork, taking initiative, problem solving skills, technical proficiency in use of computer applications and analytical skills and Dow policies and procedures.
