Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Full Stack Engineer with exposure to AI/ML technologies and expertise in cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure and GCP, to join our Emerging Tech team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Technological Proof of Concepts (PoCs), Proof of Values (PoVs) and Minimal Viable Products (MVPs) following software lifecycle development practices, leveraging Generative AI technologies, and managing cloud infrastructure to create and support our innovation initiatives. You will be crucial in driving innovation and enhancing our technology capabilities at GSK.
Your focus will be on the development of innovative solutions and features. You need to have deep expertise in writing, managing, and shipping code that can be easily integrated into large-scale infrastructure. To succeed you must not only demonstrate an understanding of how modern applications and systems work end-to-end from the client-facing endpoint to the core of the infrastructure but also how to improvise to deliver value fast.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop experimental Tech solutions.
Focus on Generative AI and other Emerging Technologies.
Collaborate and co-develop with cross-functional teams.
Work with high-level (and often vague) requirements into technical solutions.
Extract insights from large datasets and support decision-making processes.
Use out-of-the-box PaaS, IaaS, IaaS, and internal company assets to quickly build solutions rather than re-invent the wheel.
Build and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
Ensuring all the solutions are built with high availability, performance, and data privacy in mind.
Implement DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment.
Optimize software performance and scalability through efficient:
coding practices
system architecture design
infrastructure provisioning
Stay up to date with the advancements in Technology.
Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to leverage their expertise.
Integrate third-party tools/services into existing legacy ecosystem and software solutions.
Some of the work in which you will be involved:
Azure OpenAI plugins: our team will design and prove out all the architectural patterns.
AI Search framework: to speed up the use of Azure AI search with our vector store target.
Logging framework and service: design and implementation for monitoring and tracking.
Feedback mechanism framework and service: for tweaking and fine-tuning the solutions.
LLM frameworks: for experimenting and verifying the scalability of open-source solutions.
Future work: creation of multi-agent run time environments, design of data contracts, etc.
Why you:
Basic Qualifications:
Overall 8 years of experience in IT, At least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python and Java.
Experience with web development frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure platforms, particularly Azure and GCP.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
Familiarity with containerization tech like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with:
CI/CD pipelines
Version control systems (e.g., Git)
Automated testing frameworks and linters
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Developed AI/ML PoCs, PoVs and MVPs in complex environments.
Able to work autonomously for most of the day, creating solutions (code).
Self-learner eager to deep dive into unknown areas of technology.
Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Working experience with GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
Able to document work pre- and post-implementation and create high-level diagrams.
Proven strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to think critically and analytically.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, R&D processes, and industry best practices is a plus.
