As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities across both internal and external attack surfaces. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess and address security risks within our technology landscape. In this role, you will also contribute to offensive security efforts to test and enhance the organization's overall security posture.
Role Responsibilities
Identify and validate vulnerabilities.
Manage and improve the organization’s External Attack Surface Management.
Support and participate in offensive security activities to proactively test, identify potential threats, and improve our security defenses.
Take a risk-based approach to prioritize vulnerability remediation efforts.
Identify and track operational roadblocks to ensure timely remediation and countermeasures.
Manage enterprise-level Vulnerability and Configuration Assessment Tools.
Automate scan monitoring to enhance efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
Coordinate patching efforts with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolutions.
Maintain and update accurate attack surface data for ongoing metrics and analysis.
Role Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field preferred (BE, BTech, BS).
At least 7 years of experience in External Attack Surface management, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Red Teaming or related fields.
Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for external attack surface management tools and processes.
Experience with Qualys, ServiceNow, and scripting languages.
Hands-on experience with automation of scan monitoring; Python development experience is a plus.
Expertise in configuration vulnerability assessment tools and processes.
Experience in maintaining attack surface direction data.
Understanding of offensive security, including attack methods and tools.
Relevant certifications such as SANS and ISC2 are preferred but not mandatory.
