ISP Safer Recruitment Manager Role Profile
Purpose of Role
The ISP Safer Recruitment Manager reports to the Group Safer Recruitment Manager and works across India to promote, oversee and monitor Safer Recruitment, nurturing and embedding the organisational culture and conditions to ensure that only those suitable to work with children and young people join ISP. This role is fixed term 2 years and to be based in Coimbatore.

ISP Safer Recruitment Manager Key Responsibilities
  • Working in close collaboration with the Group Safer Recruitment Manager and Regional Head of HR to ensure that regional and school recruitment and selection processes are fully in line with the ISP Safer Recruitment policy, best practice and local employment legislation.
  • Supporting the Group Safer Recruitment Manager to upskill regional and local HR, Principals and hiring managers ensuring compliance with Safer recruitment processes and reporting.
  • In conjunction with the Group Safer Recruitment Manager and the Regional Head of HR, supporting with the creation, updating and delivery of Safer Recruitment training, webinars and other learning experiences. 
  • Working with the Regional Head of HR to ensure that that all regional and school employees involved in the hiring process complete Safer Recruitment training on joining and undertake yearly refresher training. 
  • Assisting with the delivery of local on-site training and preparing relevant materials in Tamil.
  • Collating and analysing data from the regional and school SCRs, working with the Regional Head of HR to ensure the SCRs are accurately maintained, data integrity is validated and up to date information and reporting is available at school, regional and group level. 
  • Using these Safer Recruitment reports to understand and address any risks or gaps in compliance and drive improvement in Safer Recruitment standards and practices across the region and schools. 
  • Supporting the Regional Head of HR with the onboarding of new schools from a Safer Recruitment perspective including guidance and advice on assessing, auditing and reviewing existing practices to improve and align them with ISP’s Safer Recruitment approach.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Fluency in English and Tamil.
  • A demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. 
  • Direct experience and strong working knowledge of Safer Recruitment and employment guidance / legislation.
  • A self-starter, motivated to manage themselves and their workload. 
  • Attention to detail, ability to interpret the data presented to draw appropriate conclusions and direct where action should be focused.  
  • Collaborative team player with excellent negotiation and influencing skills; the ability to work across all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and appropriately manage conflicting priorities. 
  • Excellent presentation and training development / delivery skills. 
  • Strong IT and systems skills.
