Purpose of Job
- The Analyst will support the Head of Pricing in the development and implementation of the global pricing strategy
- They will cleanse, integrate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to create reporting solutions which provide key insights to the business on pricing growth
- They will play a central role in designing and building the pricing database to feed OpticLPA
What you’ll do: (Key Accountabilities & Key Deliverables)
- Build and run monthly pricing reporting & dashboards for circulation to regional and global leadership.
- Develop weekly reporting for global Enquiry Management processes and draw insights, conclusions, and recommendations for future developments in the process.
- Assist the Head of Pricing in the design and creation of a global pricing database. Bringing multiple data sources together; cleansing and analyzing it to build a database in line with pricing policies.
- Assist the Head of Pricing to further develop the global pricing strategy to drive average revenue per job.
- Ad hoc analysis to support commercial and business decision-making.
- The post holder will carry out any other duties that fall within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager
Key Deliverables
- Timely completion of assigned projects with expected quality as per the stakeholders’ requirements.
- Effective communication with stakeholders to ensure first-time resolution of the project requirements.
Who you are: (Required-Knowledge, Experience, Education & Skills)
Essential
- Minimum 3 years in Analyst position.
- Advanced user of MS Excel, including VBA, formulas, Power Pivot, and Power Query
- Proficient in MS Power BI or similar application
- Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
- Ability to manipulate multiple large datasets & draw insights, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Ability to think beyond the immediate scope of work – using your own initiative to ‘go a step further.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Prior experience as a Pricing Analyst
- Knowledge of pricing mechanisms and analysis
- Experience in SQL or other programming structures
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Working knowledge of Port Tariffs
- Working knowledge of Port Operations
