Job Description
  • Build dominant frameworks for Manufacturing strategy considering requirements of new products, new technologies, coming from different GB's / RBU's and aligning with customer strategies.
  • Co-create RO-IN manufacturing growth strategies by Identifying opportunities based on PVA/BBM-SP long term forecasts and identify business potentials, manpower forecast, IPN capacity allocation/export potentials, coming from different BUs/plants and aligning with rBUs, BU/MFC's & GLs.
  • Drive Long term Planning for Manufacturing (LtPM) covering Product mix, Plant PVA Volumes Vs TEK Plan, Manpower planning (balance offer Vs demand and Permanent Vs flex) to improve cost competitiveness and site attractiveness for future business.
  • Coordinate to establish strong manufacturing concepts for beyond core and adjacencies products, build business case including Organic & In-organic approaches. Build scenarios covering Make Vs Buy, Fixed and Variable costs, logistics cost optimization and conduct bottoms-up planning to make business case attractive.
  • Coordinate RO-IN Masterplan space planning to access mid to long term regional balance of production (NF3) & Logistics (NF4) space within the plants & between the entities to make prudent decisions on the Space investments including buy vs lease.
  • Build Strategic site concept considering the business dynamics, future products mix, labor models, and manage approval from C/TM, CF adjustments, enable appropriate Free cash flow measures, Advise, and support in preparation of Investment appraisals and securing necessary approvals from C/TM, BAS and GFS.
  • Localization: Contribute to promote localization of products and child parts in India including leveraging of local governmental incentive schemes. Closely work with GB’s, IPN's RBU’s, BU/MFC, BU/CTG, BU/BUD, RBIN Plants to develop business cases and enable decision making for various localisation plans.   

Qualifications
  • Mechanical or Industrial & Production engineering with 15+ yrs. of work experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge on Value Chain elements, understanding of Bosch Production System, Deep knowledge about the Investment planning & approval procedures /standards, Space planning standards, Investment appraisals, Manufacturing and Logistics processes and Facility management.
  • Extensive knowledge of product business case & cost management, multi-GB Product & process exposure must.
  • Ability to independently Analyze, build visualization of MIS and executive summary must.
  • Convincing stakeholders including external parties to accept business case, budget proposals based on logical reasoning & data.
  • Competent in self-management skills, conflict management & presentation skills
  • Practical exposure towards intercultural collaboration skills
