About the team
This position is for our IP Data Conversion team. IP Data conversion team manages conversions/deconversions across multiple FIS and third-party products and we develop legacy conversion tools to convert source data into FIS readable format. Team is primarily developing tools in Angular, Python and C# .Net. Team is also responsible for initiating and resolving SFTP requests.
What you will be doing:
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers and switches.
- Knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP).
- Ability to configure and manage SFTP servers and clients.
- Knowledge of encryption and security best practices for file transfers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
What you bring:
- Typically, 2-4 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching, SFTP.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Understanding of SFTP protocols and secure file transfer mechanisms.
Added bonus if you have:
- Experience with Globalscape EFT (Enhanced File Transfer) platform.
- Ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot Globalscape EFT solutions.
- Understanding of Globalscape’s security features and compliance requirements.
